What is Rebel PT?
Rebel PT is a growing outdoor fitness and social club. It delivers community-driven personal training to groups with fitness boot camps and postnatal groups with buggy workouts called ‘Prams in the Park’.
Rebel PT originated in Aberdeen with high-intensity interval training sessions across numerous parks and great outdoor adventures such as hill-climbs, beach runs and wild swims and expanded into Edinburgh Scotland in 2019 offering Bootcamp fitness sessions in both The Meadows and Leith Links parks.
When people join Rebel PT, they become part of a buoyant community and a fitness club, where overall wellbeing, mindset, health and happiness are goals beyond the fitness ambitions that members (‘Rebels’) can achieve.
People come along to the fitness sessions to lose weight, tone up or increase body strength, but they also build friendships, fitness and confidence beyond what they thought possible.
Rebel PT Founders
Rebel PT is run by passionate outdoor fitness fanatics and adventure junkies Tom and Alice McAra.
Tom McAra gave up his fast-paced London life as a lettings agent to become a personal trainer in Aberdeen. He founded Rebel PT in 2012, and Alice soon joined in 2015 as they both became fully certified personal trainers.
Alice and Tom, brother and sister, are dedicated to helping the growing community of Rebels to achieve their personal fitness goals and push their boundaries whilst having fun and making new friends.
Beyond their carefully structured fitness sessions, they are always looking for new, fun and exciting adventures to keep their Rebel community busy such as outdoor wild swimming, running clubs, Munro-bagging and mud treks.
Both Alice and Tom run many of the Rebel PT outdoor fitness boot camp sessions in Aberdeen City & Shire and Edinburgh City, supported by a team of professional personal trainers and fitness instructors running fun exercise classes.
